Tamper Walnut Flat Bottom

Beautiful tamper with turned handle in Italian walnut and flat steel base.

The handle is untreated so it should NOT be put in the dishwasher or under water.

To pack the ground coffee bean perfectly requires about 15-20 kg of pressure.
If you are in doubt about how much you press with, try placing the bathroom scale on the table, take your pestle and press.

Pay attention that the forearm and wrist are parallel, otherwise it can result in sore arms and shoulders after a lot of stomping.
Swirl the pestle around in the filter basket to polish the surface of the ground beans as the last thing you do.

Remember that water is lazy – it will always find the easiest way through the filter and result in a bad espresso.
